“Gangnam Style” by K-pop star Psy is no longer the most-viewed YouTube video.
On Monday, the honour went to “See You Again” by Wiz Khalifa feat. Charlie Puth. The video for the track has amassed nearly 2.9 billion views.
“See You Again” was released in April 2015 as a tribute to Furious 7 star Paul Walker, who died in a horrific car crash.
In a statement, Khalifa said he is happy the song has been able to “inspire and impact so many lives.”
Puth reacted on Twitter. “For the record, I joined @YouTube in 2007 hoping to make a video that would reach 10,000 views. Just heard about See You Again…wow."
Canada’s Justin Bieber holds on to the No. 3 spot on YouTube with the video for “Sorry” which has been viewed more than 2.637 billion times.
The made-in-Quebec video for Adele’s hit “Hello” recently topped 2 billion views.
