Selena Gomez is pop music's latest confirmed billionaire, according to Bloomberg.
Now one of the world’s youngest self-made billionaires, the 32-year-old star has amassed a ten-digit fortune due to the success of her popular Rare Beauty makeup and cosmetics empire, which launched in 2019.
While Rare Beauty makes up the majority of her $1.3 billion net worth, Gomez continues to be active in her music and acting careers, most recently starring in the fourth season of Hulu's Only Murders In The Building.
Her billionaire status puts her in good company alongside fellow billionaire pop stars BFF Taylor Swift and Rihanna.
“Selena is not just a pop star,” Stacy Jones, founder and chief executive officer of Hollywood Branded, told Bloomberg. “She’s a multifaceted businesswoman with diverse income streams contributing to her impressive net worth."
On top of those business ventures, Gomez also boasts a successful real estate portfolio, her mental health startup Wondermind, brand partnerships with labels such as Puma, Louis Vuitton and Coach, as well as her 424 million followers on Instagram, which makes her the third most followed account on the platform.
