Shakira, the best-selling female Latin artist in history, has announced that she will be releasing her first new album in seven years next month.
Her 12th album, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, arrives on March 22. According to a press release it "is a dazzling testament to Shakira’s resilience and strength and music's power to transform even the most trying experiences into precious moments."
The new album features 16 tracks, 8 new plus a remix, and 7 previously released smash hit singles, including “Music Sessions Vol. 53” with Bizarrap, “TQG” with Karol G, “Te Felicito” with Rauw Alejandro, and “Copa Vacía” with Manuel Turizo.
About the new album, Shakira says, "My new album, coming out March 22, is one I created together with all of you, my pack of shewolves who were there for me every step of the way. Making this body of work has been an alchemical process. While writing each song I was rebuilding myself. While singing them, my tears transformed into diamonds, and my vulnerability into strength."
She teased new music on her socials during Sunday night's Super Bowl.
Back in November Shakira settled a longstanding, multi-million dollar tax dispute with Spanish authorities, despite claiming she was innocent. The case made her 2023's most searched musician on Google.

Mi nuevo álbum que llega este 22 de marzo, no lo he creado sola sino con todos ustedes, y con mi manada de lobas que han estado allí acompañándome en cada paso.
La producción de esta obra, ha sido un proceso alquímico.
