Shania Twain has cancelled eight upcoming performances in Las Vegas due to the COVID-19 crisis.
The Canadian singer had shows scheduled between May 22 and June 6 at the Zappos Theater as part of her Let’s Go residency.
“I’m looking forward to returning to Vegas later in the year with my dates from August through to December,” Twain said, in a statement, “but for now it’s time to stay home.”
Twain’s residency is scheduled to resume Aug. 21.
The singer took to Instagram over the Easter holiday weekend to share “a spontaneous music message” with health care workers in the COVID-19 battle.
Twain sang: “When you’re down and tired / think of me, thinking of you / Walking the halls, risking it all for stangers / ‘Cause that’s who you are / You’re a star, warmer than the sun / Not afraid to touch someone / Brave one.”
