It's Shania Twain's year of lifetime recognition!
Right after having received the CMT's Artist of a Lifetime award on October 19th, the singer is about to be acclaimed again with the Billboard's Icon Award. It will be presented to her at the Annual Billboard Women in Music Awards on December 9th.
"She's fearless in her career, following her own path and pushing the boundaries of the country music genre as she creates music that has proven to be timeless. She is revered in the industry and we are honoured to present the Icon award to her," said Janice Min, president and chief creative officer of The Hollywood Reporter-Billboard Media Group, in a statement.
