Canada’s Shawn Mendes, Drake and Daniel Caesar are among the nominees for this year’s iHeartRadio Music Awards, which were announced Wednesday morning.
Mendes, who has never won despite having earned 11 previous nominations, is up for Male Artist of the Year, Best Lyrics (for “In My Blood”), Best Cover Song (for “Under Pressure” with Teddy Geiger), and Song That Left Us Shook (for “Youth” with Khalid).
Caesar has one nom in the R&B Artist of the Year category.
Canadians Noah “40” Shebib and Frank Dukes are competing against each other in the Producer of the Year category.
Leading the way, though, is Drake, whose hit “God’s Plan” is nominated for Song of the Year, Hip-Hop Song of the Year, Best Lyrics, and Best Music Video. The rapper is also up for Male Artist of the Year and Hip-Hop artist of the Year.
Drake has racked up nine previous wins from 22 nominations, including Hip-Hop Album of the Year in 2017.
Other multiple nominees for this year’s iHeartRadio Music Awards include Cardi B, Ariana Grande, Camila Cabello, Panic! At The Disco, and Marshmello.
