Shawn Mendes is battling a cold this week as he continues the European leg of his world tour.
In a video clip shot by a fan and posted online this past weekend, the Canadian singer explains to a group of fans why he isn’t taking photos and signing autographs.
“If I’m honest with you guys, I’m really worried about getting more sick for the show for the next couple of days,” he said. "But I love you guys, thank you so much for coming out here.”
In another clip, Mendes gestures that he is saving his voice. His bodyguard tells fans the singer is not stopping to pose for selfies.
Mendes doesn’t have much time off to get healthy. He performs Thursday in Germany followed by shows Saturday and Sunday in Italy.
