Three Canadian music stars made a combined $145.5 million (all figures U.S.) in the last year to earn spots on Forbes’ annual list of the world’s highest paid celebrities.
Shawn Mendes made an estimated $54.5 million to rank 39th on “The Celebrity 100,” published on Thursday, and Drake is 10 spots behind him with $49 million. Céline Dion is at No. 73 with estimated earnings of $42 million.
Forbes compiled the list using data from a variety of source to estimate revenues for the 12-month period that ended May 31.
Just over one-third of the highest paid celebs come from the music world.
With earnings of $170 million (all figures U.S.), Kanye West ranks No. 2 (behind sister-in-law Kylie Jenner, who made an estimated $590 million).
Touring revenues helped Elton John come in at No. 14, with earnings of $81 million, and Ariana Grande to rank No. 17, with $72 million. The Jonas Brothers, who raked in an estimated $68.5 million, are at No. 20.
Other music stars on the Forbes list are The Chainsmokers (No. 21, $68M), Ed Sheeran (No. 23, $64M), Taylor Swift (No. 25, $63.5M), Post Malone (No. 28, $60M), The Rolling Stones (No. 32, $59M), Marshmello (No. 35, $56M) and Sean Combs (No.37, $55M).
Jay-Z, Billie Eilish, BTS, Jennifer Lopez, P!nk, Rihanna, Luke Bryan, Backstreet Boys, Phil Collins, Blake Shelton, The Eagles, Metallica, Travis Scott, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Bon Jovi, U2, Paul McCartney, DJ Khaled and KISS also made the cut.
