Sheryl Crow pairs her voice with those of some big music stars for her final album, Threads, which is out now.
“It’s the most important people who I have worked with throughout my life, my career or the people who I wanted to emulate when I was a kid, and whom I’ve gotten to know,” Crow explained, in a release. “Stevie Nicks, whom I adore, Keith Richards and Willie Nelson, people who embraced me and welcomed me to the party.”
The 17-track collection also includes songs featuring Maren Morris, Bonnie Raitt, Mavis Staples, Eric Clapton, Sting, James Taylor, Vince Gill and many others. Canada’s Neil Young lends his voice to “Cross Creek Road.”
Threads is Crow’s 11th studio album since she debuted in 1993 with Tuesday Night Music Club. The multiple Grammy winner's hits include "If It Makes You Happy" and "All I Wanna Do."
The 57-year-old singer has said she will continue recording and releasing new songs but won’t make albums anymore, recognizing the ways people access music today.
