It’s either the most bizarre thing you will watch today or the most soothing thing you will experience – it’s Cardi B whispering into a pair of microphones while running her fingers through a shag rug.
The rap star appears in an autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) video that runs more than 13 minutes.
Cardi explained that she’s a big fan of ASMR.
“My husband thinks it’s very strange and weird that I watch ASMR every single day to go to bed,” Cardi said, referring to Migos rapper Offset.
In the video, posted by W magazine, Cardi reflected on the success of her first track “Bodak Yellow.”
She said: “It changed my life forever but I was also scared because the song was so big. I didn’t know if the next record was going to follow-up. I didn’t want to be a one-hit wonder.”
Cardi also opened up about being a mom to daughter Kulture. “My favourite thing about being a mother is that I have somebody to look forward to looking at every single day and night,” she said. “I get very anxious to see my baby 24/7.
“I love my baby’s face and I love her breath and I love her smile and I love how she looks at me. She looks at me like she needs me more than anything.”
