Sia took to LAX to head out of the country for her upcoming performance at the Dubai World Cup on Wednesday (Mar. 22) and the travel to the airport did not include her signature black and white wig.
Rocking some beige Kenzo sweatpants and a matching cropped sweatshirt, the 41-year-old pop titan appeared fresh-faced as she walked inside of the airport. Factor in that she was set for a 15-hour flight and you'd think twice about having an oversized wig on top of your head, too!
Last year, Sia appeared on James Corden's beloved Carpool Karaoke segment and spoke about why she feels the need to cover her face. "I was a singer for 10 or 11 years to mediocre success," she said candidly. "I was an alcoholic and a drug addict. I sobered up, and I decided I didn’t want to be an artist anymore, because I was starting to get a little bit famous and it was destabilizing in some way. I thought, What doesn’t exist in pop music at the moment?’ And it was mystery. I was like, there's pictures on Instagram of everyone at the dentist."
Yesterday afternoon, the Aussie singer also took to Instagram to tease a 2016 re-run appearance on Sesame Street, which will also show viewers a little more of her face than usual. Her episode airs at 9 AM ET on HBO.
