Skid Row announced this past weekend that ex-Dragonforce vocalist ZP Theart will join the band as their new frontman.
During a concert at Casino Nova Scotia in Halifax on Jan. 14, bassist Rachel Bolan told the crowd: “I wanna make this announcement finally formal. He’s been with us for a year, our new lead singer, ZP Theart."
Theart, 41, joined Bolan on stage to cheers from the crowd. "Is this official, then?" Theart asked. "Oh f**k."
Bolan also told fans: "We’re going in the studio soon to make a new record."
ZP Theart, a native of South Africa, has been singing for the band since the start of 2015, taking over for former vocalist Tony Harnell. Skid Row's most notable singer, Ontario-born Sebastian Bach, left the band in 1996 after in-fighting with the rest of the group.
