Slayer fans cheered, chanted and cried on Saturday night following the band’s final performance.
The musicians were visibly moved as they hugged each other and looked out at the crowd inside the Los Angeles Forum.
“I want to thank you for sharing your time with us. Time is precious. So I thank you for sharing that time with us,” said Tom Araya. “I'm gonna miss you guys.”
Among those in the crowd for the final show were Post Malone, Kirk Hammett of Metallica, Megadeth’s Dirk Verbeuren, King Diamond, Anthrax’s Scott Ian and actors Jason Mamoa and Joe Manganiello.
Slayer wrapped up nearly four decades of live shows with the Final Campaign tour, which consisted of 140 shows in 30 countries over 18 months.
