Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor is engaged.
The rock star popped the question to his girlfriend of about two years, dancer Alicia Dove, after breakfast bowls of hash browns covered in egg, avocado, vegan cheese, bacon, salsa, and veggies.
“As I put the salsa back in the fridge I shut the door and he was standing there with a ring,” Dove shared on Twitter. “Got down on one knee, and I immediately started crying on the floor with him. In our kitchen. In our sweats, nothing fancy. It was f**king perfect.
“I’m so thankful I had no idea it was coming, too.”
Taylor, 45, shared the happy news on Instagram with a photo of a diamond ring on Dove’s finger that he captioned: “L’adorilust. Forever. And Ever.”
It will be the third marriage for Taylor, who was married to Scarlett Stone from 2004 to 2007 and to Stephanie Luby from 2009 to 2017. He has 16-year-old son Griffin with Stone and a 26-year-old daughter from a previous relationship.
Dove, 34, is a former Atlanta Falcons cheerleader who founded dance group The Cherry Bombs and has performed with rock acts like Puddle of Mud and Bret Michaels.
Dove said she met Taylor around 2010 but the pair didn’t click until Cherry Bomb toured with Stone Sour in 2017.
On Sunday, Dove tweeted that children are not in the couple’s immediate future. "Not really in a position to have kids of my own right now,” she wrote. “We’re just kind of taking it one step at a time and enjoying this.”
