The ugly feud between Slipknot’s Corey Taylor and Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger has reared its head once again. It all started after Kroeger called Taylor’s side project, Stone Sour, “Nickelback Lite” in an interview.
Taylor, none too pleased, fired back by saying Kroeger was “an idiot” whose face looked “like a foot”. Smash Mouth then weighed in, siding with Taylor. “We see what Chad is saying but Slipknot has more than pulled it off,” the band tweeted when asked their thoughts on the matter. “It feels authentic, they nailed it! They're American Icons.”

After Taylor claimed “that's all we have to say about it,” he again revisited the beef in a new interview with KISW 99.9. He tried to avoid the Nickelback questions, responding when asked, “I'm not talking about that dickhead. Why do I give a s--t what Chad Kroeger says?”
However, after a few more prompts to speak on the quarrel, he opened up. “I'll tell you what. This is how I figured it out,” he said. “Chad Kroeger is to rock what KFC is to chicken. Is that wrong? I feel like I'm not wrong.”
When asked to expand a bit on what he meant by comparing the Canadian rockers to a fast food joint, Taylor continued: “I'll still eat it, but I'm not going to feel good about it.”
Kroeger has yet to weigh in, but the whole debacle has left us with a stomach ache… Much like a meal deal at KFC.
