Stagecoach, the country music festival that draws thousands to Indio, California, is taking this summer off due to COVID-19.
Riverside County public health officer Dr. Cameron Kaiser signed an order on Wednesday cancelling the event. An official announcement from organizers had not been made as of Thursday morning.
Stagecoach was scheduled to take place in April 24 to 26 but in March got bumped to Oct. 23 to 25. The line-up included headliners Carrie Underwood, Thomas Rhett and Eric Church as well as sets by Canada’s Bryan Adams and Orville Peck.
Country music festivals across Canada have already announced cancellations, including Ontario’s Boots and Hearts and PEI’s Cavendish Beach.
