Stevie Nicks, Janet Jackson and LL Cool J are among the acts nominated for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame next year.
The list of possible honourees, announced Tuesday, also has Def Leppard, Devo, John Prine, Roxy Music, Todd Rundgren, Kraftwerk, MC5, Radiohead, Rage Against the Machine, Rufus ft. Chaka Khan, The Cure and The Zombies.
Artists and bands must have released their first commercial record at least 25 years ago to be eligible for a nomination.
Nine of the 15 acts have been previously nominated (LL Cool J and Kraftwerk have made the list four times before).
“Wow, what an honor,” tweeted Nicks, who was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 20 years ago as part of Fleetwood Mac.
Fans have until Dec. 9 to vote online. The final choices are made by 1,000 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame voting members.
Inductees will be announced in December and the ceremony will be held March 29, 2019 in Brooklyn.
