"Baby It's Cold Outside" isn't just a song to New Yorkers in December, it's a way of life. Which is why it's the perfect name for the upcoming Rainforest Fund Benefit Concert on Dec. 14 at the city's iconic Carnegie Hall.
The star-studded event will include performances from Sting, Bruce Springsteen, James Taylor, and more surprise guests to be announced.
Baby It's Cold Outside will raise awareness and funds for the work the Rainforest Fund (co-founded by Sting and his wife Trudie Styler) provides to communities of indigenous peoples in Brazil, Belize, Cameroon, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Indonesia, Nicaragua, New Guinea, Peru, Venezuela, and more.
The event has to date raised over $30 million US.
Meanwhile, a couple of blocks west of Carnegie Hall is 57th & 9th -- the name of Sting's new album, which was released on Nov. 11.
The record, which is Sting's 12th solo studio album, features 10 new songs, including singles "I Can't Stop Thinking About You," "Fifty Thousand," and "Petrol Head." The rock icon recently celebrated and performed his new music during a special event at NYC's Irving Plaza during Sting 57th & 9th iHeartRadio Album Release Party.
