Canadian singer-actor Nick Cordero will be honoured on Sept. 6 during a virtual concert streamed by Broadway on Demand.
The Ontario native died in July from complications of COVID-19. He was 41.
The webcast, which starts at 7 pm ET, will feature some of Cordero’s cast mates from A Bronx Tale, Bullets Over Broadway, The Toxic Avenger, Rock of Ages and Waitress as well as memories from friends and family members.
Viewers will be encouraged to make donations to the Save the Music Foundation.

Cordero dropped out of Toronto's Ryerson University to join rock-soul band LoveMethod. He starred in Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding in Toronto and worked in shows onboard cruise ships before finding work on the stages of New York City. He earned a Tony Award and Drama Desk nomination in 2014 for playing Cheech in Bullets Over Broadway and, in 2016, another Drama Desk nomination for his role in Waitress.
Cordero’s live album Live Your Life - Live at Feinstein’s/54 Below will be released Sept. 17. It takes its name from the original song he debuted in 2018.
