Sum 41 are gearing up to make the last ever public appearance at the 2025 Juno Awards this Sunday (March 30), but frontman Deryck Whibley has revealed his next move: socks!
On Instagram, Whibley and Sum 41 have collaborated with a company called Walking Disaster Socks, which share the name with the musician's recent best-selling memoir, Walking Disaster: My Life Through Heaven and Hell.
Although the account features a logo teasing an announcement will be coming soon, Whibley also tagged it in a video that shows him preparing for his big Junos performance by doing a routine of exercises.
"Some people may find this ridiculous," Whibley writes. "But this is how a train for getting on stage. I sing along to an entire Sum 41 set, trying to never stop moving and singing at the same time. In the mornings I do a similar thing but on a stationary bike or treadmill to start my day off. In the afternoon I’ll sing about 5 songs standing still. Then in the evening I put on this little concert in my studio with much more intensity. I repeat this daily for weeks. Doesn’t matter if it’s for a tour or just a short performance at the Junos on Sunday, this is my ritual."
Naturally, the video features his new brand of socks, which he gives a shot out to: "On top of this, I’m testing out a prototype pair of my new @walkingdisaster Socks! (Coming Soon)"
