T-Pain came clean with fans this week when he announced he has pulled the plug on his upcoming 1UP DLC Tour.
“We f**ked up,” he said, in a video posted on Instagram. “I want to keep it real with y’all.”
T-Pain admitted ticket sales “were very low” because of the way the tour was organized. “They were low because we didn’t set it up right.”
The rapper-singer said his reps advised him to lie “and say that I needed some time … or I needed time to spend with my family or some medical attention or something like that.”
He said most artists lie when the scrap a tour. “Whenever concerts gets canceled or a tour get canceled, it's for low ticket sales. It ain't really about whatever the f**k reason they say. I think that's wrong.”
T-Pain said performing to empty seats “would’ve been a bad look for me and it wouldn’t have been entertaining to y’all.”
