Singer and reality show star Tamar Braxton was rushed to hospital Thursday night after what the Los Angeles Police Department described as a “possible overdose.”
According to reports, the 43-year-old’s boyfriend David Adefeso found Braxton unresponsive in their suite at the Ritz Carlton Residences in downtown L.A. and called 911 at around 9:45 p.m. local time.
The couple’s scheduled YouTube show Coupled & Quarantined on Thursday night was cancelled. “Your girl Tamar is under the weather today … so we need to postpone today’s show,” read a message.
A rep for Braxton told The Blast: “Tamar has had a very tough and emotional day – more information will be coming in the next few days.”
Braxton started her music career as part of the R&B group The Braxtons and went on to release five studio albums of her own – but she is best known for starring in the long-running series Braxton Family Values.
