Taylor Swift announced on Tuesday she will be performing at music festivals next summer – and creating festivals of her own.
“For me, the Lover album is open fields and sunsets and SUMMER,” she wrote on social media. “I want to celebrate the album and perform it live with you in a way that feels authentic to the music. I want to go to some places I haven’t been, and play festivals for the first time in ages...and where we didn’t have festivals, we made some.”
Swift shared June and July festival dates in Europe and Brazil followed by “Lover Fest West” in Los Angeles on July 25 and 26 (Swift will be the first performer ever at SoFi Stadium, the $5 billion U.S. stadium built for the NFL’s Rams and Chargers) and “Lover Fest East” near Boston on July 31 and Aug. 1.
The pop star teased: “Details and additional dates coming soon!”
Swift's seventh album, Lover, was released last month. Her 2018 Reputation Stadium Tour grossed $345.7 million U.S. to become the 13th highest grossing concert tour of all time.
