Taylor Swift swooped into Park City, Utah on Thursday for the premiere of the documentary Taylor Swift: Miss Americana.
The pop star reportedly took a seat in the theatre after the lights had gone down and participated in a post-screening Q&A with director Lana Wilson.
In the film, which begins streaming at the end of the month, Swift insists she doesn’t look at paparazzi photos of her that appear online.
“I tend to get triggered by something — whether it’s a picture of me where I feel like my tummy looked too big, or someone said that I looked pregnant or something — and that will trigger me to just starve a little bit. Just stop eating,” Swift revealed.
The singer said she struggled for many years with an eating disorder that often caused her to feel like she was going to faint during her performances.
Swift, now a size six, recalled how she got herself down to a double-zero by exercising constantly and keeping a list of everything she ate.
“There’s always some standard of beauty that you’re not meeting,” she said. “Because if you’re thin enough, then you don’t have that ass that everybody wants, but if you have enough weight on you to have an ass, then your stomach isn’t flat enough,” she says. “It’s all just f**king impossible.”
In Miss Americana, Swift also talks about her hesitation to publicly share her political views, her legal fight with the radio host who groped her during a meet-and-greet and her preference for cats over kids.
At one point in the doc, Swift makes a stunning revelation: She had her first burrito only two years ago.
