Taylor Swift on Tuesday praised YUNGBLUD for his version of her folklore track “Cardigan.”
“This took my breath away,” Swift captioned a retweet of YUNGBLUD’s link to a video of the performance for BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge.
YUNGBLUD, accompanying himself on acoustic guitar and backed by a string trio, mashed up “Cardigan” with Canadian singer Avril Lavigne’s 2002 hit “I’m With You.”

Swift said she was “honoured” to hear her song “intertwined with the wonderful Avril Lavigne’s masterpiece.” She added: “Bravo and thanks Yungblud.”
