Taylor Swift wants you to go see Deadpool & Wolverine.
Marvel's blockbuster film starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman as the titular heroes is officially in theatres today (July 25) and so far the critics say it lives up to the hype. But more importantly, Taylor Swift says it is "unspeakably awesome."
Taking time out of her record-breaking Eras Tour, Swift posted a story on Instagram to help her friends promote the film.
“Over the past few years I have watched one of my best friends on this planet pour every bit of his heart, soul, sweat, time, energy, jokes, pain, joy, rebellion, darkness, and magic into this film," she wrote. "He’s created the best work of his life, and this film feels like an actual joy portal, a wild escape from reality, and an abs sandwich. I don’t know how he did it. But that’s just Hugh for you!”
“These other randoms crashed the photo and we were too polite to ask them to leave,” she joked, referring to a photo of herself with director Shawn Levy, Hugh Jackman and her close friends Ryan Reynolds and his partner Blake Lively.
"Deadpool & Wolverine is out TOMORROW! Here’s where to buy tickets if you like things that are unspeakably awesome," she concluded with a link. “Shout out to Wade Wilson, aka my godkids’ sperm donor!”
Of course, that last line is a reference to Swift being the godmother to Reynolds and Lively's four kids: James, Inez, Betty and Olin. Look at her with the jokes. She should have made a cameo in the film!
Reynolds and Jackman were in Toronto earlier this week to promote what will no doubt be the biggest movie of the summer. iHeartRadio's Ruby Carr caught up with the two superheroes and gifted them some friendship bracelets to commemorate their blossoming bromance. Watch all unfold it below!
