So, is it over now?

Taylor Swift's owned catalogue is reportedly available on TikTok again after being removed back on February 1 following Universal Music Group's ban on the app.

Swift’s music was pulled from TikTok in February, after UMG and the platform could not come to an agreement after failing to renew a licensing pact that expired January 31.

In an open letter to TikTok, UMG wrote, "TikTok proposed paying our artists and songwriters at a rate that is a fraction of the rate that similarly situated major social platforms pay. Ultimately TikTok is trying to build a music-based business, without paying fair value for the music."

Although no official statement has been made by Swift's team or TikTok, fans quickly discovered that songs from albums such as Midnights, Lover, Folklore and the (Taylor's Version) re-releases have been reinstated and are now free to use on the app.

The timing works out nicely for the superstar as she prepares to release her 11th album, The Tortured Poets Department, on April 19.

At this time, other artists signed to Universal labels and its publishing division, such as Ariana Grande, The Weeknd and Justin Bieber, are not permitted to use their music on TikTok.
