Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine testified Thursday that Cardi B was a member of the Nine Trey Gangster Bloods.
The 23-year-old, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, made the revelation under cross-examination in a New York City courtroom, where he was testifying against alleged gang members Anthony Ellison and Aljermiah Mack.
A rep for Cardi B issued a statement claiming “she’s not and has never been affiliated with this gang.” In a tweet she later deleted, the rap star said she was part of the Brim Bloods gang, not Nine Trey.
In an interview with GQ last year, Cardi B said: “When I was 16 years old, I used to hang out with a lot of Bloods. I used to pop off with my homies. And they'd say, 'Yo, you really get it poppin'. You should come home. You should turn Blood.’ And I did. Yes, I did.”
