Ho-ho-hold on, Canada – the iHeartRadio Canada Jingle Ball is coming soon!
This year’s line-up includes global chart-toppers The Chainsmokers, Khalid and Dua Lipa, as well as homegrown acts like Alessia Cara, bülow and Loud Luxury.
Also announced Monday morning are Lauv and MAX and Canadians Elijah Woods x Jamie Fine, Tyler Shaw, and Delaney Jane. More performers and celebrity presenters will be announced in the coming weeks.
“Providing unparalleled access to music and artists, the iHeartRadio Canada Jingle Ball is one of the many live events iHeartRadio brings to our listeners,” said Rob Farina, head of radio content and strategy, in a release. “Jingle Ball caps off a stunning year of star-studded shows.”
The iHeartRadio Canada Jingle Ball takes place Dec. 2 at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena. Tickets go on sale Oct. 19 at 10 a.m. ET via Ticketmaster but fans can score advance tickets by listening to 99.9 Virgin Radio and CHUM 104.5 for a pre-sale code.
iHeartRadio stations in southwestern Ontario will also be offering chances to win tickets.
iHeartRadio Canada Jingle Ball attendees will be encouraged to text WISH to 30333 to donate $10 to the CP24 CHUM Christmas Wish, which distributes toys and gifts to children in need every holiday season.
Here’s a look at who will be heating up the iHeartRadio Canada Jingle Ball:
The Chainsmokers (Alex Pall and Andrew Taggart) saw their 2017 debut album Memories…Do Not Open go to No. 1 in Canada. Their list of hit collaborations include “Closer” ft. Halsey and “Something Just Like This” with Coldplay. The duo has won a Grammy, a pair of AMAs and eight iHeartRadio Music Awards.
Khalid is a singer-songwriter whose debut album American Teen last year spawned the hit “Young Dumb & Broke” and won an iHeartRadio Music Award. He collaborated with Normani on the hot track “Love Lies” and with Canadians Shawn Mendes (“Youth”) and Alessia Cara (on Logic’s “1-800-273-8255”).
Dua Lipa is the Brit singer who has taken the world by storm with her hits “New Rules” and “Be The One” as well as her bangers with Calvin Harris (“One Kiss”) and as part of Silk City (“Electricity”). It’s no surprise she was up for Fan Fave New Artist at this year’s iHeartRadio MMVAs.
Alessia Cara has been riding high since the 2015 release of her debut album Know-It-All thanks to hits like “Scars to Your Beautiful” and “Wild Things” as well as collaborations like “Stay” with Zedd and “1-800-273-8255” with Logic and Khalid. She has racked up awards, including a Grammy and several iHeartRadio MMVAs and Junos. No doubt, the 22-year-old will perform tracks from her new album The Pains of Growing.
bülow had a breakthrough hit with “Not a Love Song” from her debut EP Damaged Vol. 1 and is featured on the remix of Fall Out Boy’s “The Last of the Real Ones.”
Loud Luxury (Andrew Fedyk and Joe Depace) gave us the smash “Body” ft. Brando and the new single “Love No More” with Anders. They brought the heat as house DJs at this year’s iHeartRadio MMVAs.
Elijah Woods x Jamie Fine is the electro-pop duo behind the ubiquitous “Ain’t Easy” (which debuted on CTV’s The Launch) and their banging follow-up “Better Off.” It’s ain’t hard to figure out why they won Best New Canadian Artist or Group at the iHeartRadio MMVAs.
Tyler Shaw, whose hits include “Kiss Goodnight” and “Cautious” just released his second album, Intuition.
Lauv was picked to open for Ed Sheeran on the Asian leg of his Divide Tour. Last month, he released “There’s No Way” ft. Julia Michaels, but we’re still loving his hit “I Like Me Better.”
MAX is a singer, actor and model currently coming to iHeartRadio Canada Jingle Ball after completing the North American leg of his House of Divine World Tour.
Delaney Jane is one of the most recognizable voices in EDM. She earned a Juno nomination for “Limitless” with Adventure Club and earlier this year released “Bad Habits.”
