While Kiss appears to be over, the sons of that band's co-founders, Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley, have followed in their fathers' footsteps to write and record music together.
Nick Simmons and Evan Stanley have revealed on their socials that like their fathers, who joined forces in 1973 to form Kiss, they have also become a songwriting duo.
On Instagram, the pair have collaborated on posts showing off their harmonizing chops, taking a different direction from the make-up-encrusted hard rock that their dads played.
While Stanley appears to get that fix playing in his band Amber Wild, who sound a bit like if Kiss pivoted to pop-punk, Simmons is fairly new to the music world. After starring in the reality TV show Simmons Family Jewels from 2006 to 2012, he has mostly worked in the comic book business. However, he did once show his pipes when he covered Led Zeppelin's "Rock and Roll" live with Wolfmother back in 2023.
But the two can definitely sing! In one post they perform an original with friend Jacob Bunton that also features Stanley on guitar, and in another they cover Simon & Garfunkel's "The Sound of Silence."
While no official word has been given about the project, they did reveal in one Instagram post that, "One song turned into 10 real quick," which sure sounds like we will get an album at some point.
And no name has been given to the project, however, in one photo they captioned it "Stanley / Simmons 2025" so maybe they will go full Simon & Garfunkel with their name too.
