We're less than two weeks away from the 2017 iHeartRadio Music Awards and the competition for the Best New Artist category, presented by the all-new 2017 Subaru Impreza, is heating up.
Nominations were announced in early January and now iHeartRadio is happy to unleash the finalists for the coveted title — and there is something for all music genres.
After revealing a total of five nominations per genre, we've selected just one contender from each group to rep the musical category and move into a second round, which will see them compete against one another in a final showdown.
Canada’s The Strumbellas are up against The Chainsmokers, Chance the Rapper, Bryson Tiller, Kelsea Ballerini, Joss Favela and CNCO.
For the fourth straight year, the iHeartRadio Music Awards will celebrate the amazing music that was heard throughout the year on iHeartRadio stations. Canada’s Drake leads with 12 nominations, including Male Artist of the Year, while The Chainsmokers received 11 nominations.

In addition to the nominees, iHeartRadio also revealed that Bruno Mars, Katy Perry, Big Sean and Ed Sheeran are among the folks set to take the Forum stage as part of a string of live performances, first-time duets and collaborations, celebrity guest appearances and live award presentations.
Nominees and winners are determined by iHeartMedia, Inc. based on industry data from Mediabase and BigChampagne, fan feedback and guidance from experts, including iHeartRadio programmers from multiple radio formats.
The show airs March 5 on CTV2.
