Canada’s The Weeknd and Justin Bieber are among the nominees for this year’s American Music Awards, which were announced Monday.
The singers are competing against each other – as well as Post Malone, Roddy Ricch and Taylor Swift – for Artist of the Year and are both vying for Favourite Male Artist with Post Malone.

The Weeknd is tied with Ricch for the most nominations (eight), followed by Megan Thee Stallion with five. Bieber has four nominations, along with Swift, Lady Gaga, Bad Bunny, DaBaby and Doja Cat.
The AMAs will be handed out Nov. 22.
