Canada’s The Weeknd, Justin Bieber and Drake are among the nominees for the MTV Video Music Awards, which were announced Thursday.
The Weeknd earned six nominations, including Video of the Year and Artist of the Year, while Bieber and Drake got four apiece.
Leading all nominees with nine are Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga. Their collaboration “Rain on Me” is up for seven awards, including Video, Song and Pop Song.
Billie Eilish is nominated in six categories and Taylor Swift has five.
The MTV VMAs, which will be handed out on Aug. 30 without an audience, includes new categories this year – Best Music Video From Home and Best Quarantine Performance.
