Canada rules the Billboard 200 chart once again!
Toronto’s The Weeknd sits at No. 1 on the chart, set to be published Tuesday, with his album Starboy.
With sales of 348,000, it had the third-biggest debut of 2016 — behind fellow Canadian Drake’s Views and Beyonce’s Lemonade.
Starboy, which came out Nov. 25, is The Weeknd’s third studio album and follows last year’s massively successful Beauty Behind the Madness.
Starboy bumped Metallica’s Hardwired… to Self-Destruct to No. 3.
The Weeknd’s new album also debuted at No. 1 in countries around the world, including Australia and at home in Canada.
Another Canadian artist, Michael Bublé, is in the Top 10. His 2011 Christmas album got a holiday boost to take the No. 8 spot on the Billboard 200.
