Tiffany Trump, the youngest daughter of U.S. president Donald Trump, may have to revisit her dream of becoming a pop star.
“As a recent graduate, I can relate to so many of you who might be looking for a job,” the 26-year-old declared in a speech at the Republican National Convention on Tuesday.
Luckily, if Tiffany – with her law degree, wealth and powerful surname – does not manage to find a job, she can take another shot at the singing career she attempted to launch nearly a decade ago.
“It’s more of a hobby right now,” Tiffany told Oprah Winfrey in 2011, “but we’ll see in a couple years if I actually do want to take it to the next level.”
Tiffany (not to be confused with ‘80s pop star and mall performer Tiffany) released her debut single “Like a Bird” (not to be confused with the 2000 Nelly Furtado hit “I'm Like a Bird”) in 2011. It featured Sprite (not to be confused with the refreshing beverage) and Logic (not to be confused with "1-800-273-8255" rapper Logic).
“Everybody’s partying / Obessin’ over crazy things,” she repeats on the heavily Auto-Tune’d track. “I just want serenity / While living it up.”
Tiffany collaborated with Sprite again on the Gaga-ish track “Paranoia,” in which she seemed to foreshadow her father’s presidency.
“Together we can make it through the lies,” she sings. “Paranoia / It’s all around me / And I just want to be alone.”
During her RNC speech on Tuesday night, job-searching Tiffany may have been subtlety signalling to her dad that she wants to sing again. She urged Americans to re-elect him “if you care about living your life without restraints [and] about rebelling against those who would suppress your voice.”
