Some big name music acts will be in Toronto next week – but not to perform.
Steve Aoki, Timbaland, Akon and Major Lazer’s Jillionaire (aka Christopher Leacock) are among the guests scheduled to attend the Collision tech conference.
Timbaland will speak on the afternoon of May 20 about “personal success, self-mastery and the resilience needed to succeed on your own terms,” according to the conference website.
Later that day, Akon is set to talk about the origin of his cryptocurrency company Akoin and “his vision for the power of cryptocurrencies in developing communities.”
On the morning of May 23, Aoki will discuss “burnout, scaling, finding your audience, and when to sleep” and, later, Jillionaire will take part in a Q&A session.
Described as the fastest-growing tech conference in North America, Collision boasts more than 25,000 attendees. The fifth edition takes place at Toronto’s Enercare Centre.
Other guest speakers this year include actors Seth Rogen, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Damon Wayans Jr. as well as football great Terrell Owens.
