Angels & Airwaves frontman Tom DeLonge didn’t exactly put his best face forward Wednesday on social media.
The 44-year-old rocker posted a selfie from inside a medical clinic showing his face covered with goo and his hair in a disposable cap.
“When you’ve had skin cancer like I have, a little normal spot on your face must be lasered off using some Advanced Military Weaponry,” DeLonge captioned the photo. “They also make sure you look like a f**king creep while waiting to be numb for the procedure.
"The laser was approved by the FDA, and so was making the patient look like they had sex with a box of whipping cream.”
DeLonge has previously said he was diagnosed with skin cancer on his chest in 2010.
On its website, the Canadian Cancer Society stresses the importance of early detection of skin cancer. "You should check your skin regularly for changes," it recommends. "This will help you get to know what is normal for your skin and notice when something may be wrong. See your doctor if you find any changes on your skin."
