Despite her already expansive resume, Beyoncé wants more and she's looking at Tony Bennett to help her accomplish another feat, or so says the jazz singer in a new interview with PEOPLE.
In promotion for his upcoming birthday TV special, Tony Bennett Celebrates 90, a two-hour music special airing on Dec. 20, the living legend teased a potential collaboration with the pop titan.
"Beyoncé. She's thinking of something to do with me," said Bennett. "We met at a benefit, and she said, 'I've got an idea that we should do something together,'" he recalled.
Even though Bey didn't tell Bennett the details regarding the duet, the singer appeared more than open to getting the idea rolling. "She didn't tell me what it was yet, so we’ll see what happens!" he added.
Bennett, who scored the Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album award at the 2015 Grammys for his Lady Gaga collaborative album, Cheek to Cheek, is also open to working on a follow-up LP with Mother Monster.
"I'd love to do a second album with Lady Gaga. She was performing at a benefit the first time I met her," he said. "I told her backstage, 'You were terrific! I’d love to do an album with you someday.' She said, 'Let’s do it!' Boom! We get along great. We've been close ever since."
In the meantime, you can expect to see Gaga as well as a string of other stars like Elton John, Michael Bublé and Stevie Wonder during Bennett's upcoming TV special.
