More than 12.3 million Fortnite players took part in the Travis Scott: Astronomical event on Thursday night, according to Epic Games.
The popular interactive video game’s developer said it was “an all-time record.”
Astronomical featured an ever-changing avatar of the rap star performing a 10-minute set within Fortnite. Scott used the exposure to tease a new track with Kid Cudi, “The Scotts,” which dropped overnight.
“Honestly today was one of the most inspiring days,” Scott tweeted. “Love every single one of you guys.”
The event will be repeated Friday at 11 am (all times EST) and Saturday at 12 am, 12 pm and 7 pm.
Last February, Marshmello did the first concert inside Fortnite, attracting a reported 10 million players.
