Have you ever wished Tyler Shaw would send you a personalized video greeting? Wish no more.
The 25-year-old Canadian pop star last month joined Cameo, a website offering custom video messages direct from celebrities.
“I’m excited! If you guys have weddings, birthdays, or just a surprise party, I am here to give your special someone a shout-out,” Shaw says in an introductory clip.
Shaw is currently selling video messages for $10 (all figures U.S.) and, like everyone featured on the site, gets to keep 75 per cent.
Cameo says its celebrities set their own price and “can change their price at any time.”
Shaw is not the only Canadian music star who has turned to Cameo to make a little extra cash from fans.
Deborah Cox is currently selling personalized messages for $75 and Esthero is charging twice that. Also available are homegrown pop singers Tyler Medeiros ($10), Danny Fernandes ($20), Karl Wolf ($30) and Kiesza ($20).
Lukas Rossi, who won Rock Star: Supernova in 2006, is selling greetings for $100.
Cameo’s collection of music celebs includes former boy band singers like NSYNC’s Lance Bass ($199) and O-Town’s Ashley Parker Angel ($55) as well as rappers like Bow Wow ($135) and Tyga ($250).
Carnie Wilson of Wilson Phillips will record a message for $35, Lisa Loeb is priced at $75, and a greeting from Sean Kingston will cost $150.
Rock fans can order a personalized message from Mötley Crüe’s Vince Neil ($300) or Tommy Lee ($350); Twisted Sister’s Dee Snider ($150); or Chris Daughtry ($75).
There are also groups available, ranging from ‘80s glam metal band Warrant at $50 to EDM trio Cheat Codes at $1,000.
