U2 and The Rolling Stones top the list of this decade’s biggest touring acts.
According to Pollstar, U2 took in just over $1 billion (all figures U.S.) in the 2010s while the Stones raked in $929.2 million.
Since 2010, U2 went out on The 360 Tour, Innocence + Experience, The Joshua Tree Tour Experience + Innocence and The Joshua Tree Tour 2019 while The Rolling Stones hit the road for 50 & Counting Tour, On Fire, Zip Code Tour, América Latina Olé Tour and No Filter Tour.
Solo artists Ed Sheeran ($922.4 million), Taylor Swift ($899.6 million) and Beyoncé ($857.4 million) round out the Top 5.
Bon Jovi tours this decade earned $836.7 million.
Paul McCartney ranked No. 7 with an $813.8 million haul, followed by Coldplay ($731.8 million), Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band ($729.8 million) and Roger Waters ($702.2 million).
Also in the Top 20 touring acts this decade are Elton John, Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Eagles, One Direction, Pink, Jay-Z, Kenny Chesney and Bruno Mars.
Canada’s Justin Bieber is 19th with a touring gross of $554.2 million. He had three tours in the last 10 years – My World, Believe and the Purpose World Tour.
Pollstar noted that the average price of a concert ticket has gone up 38 per cent since 2010.
