This year’s edition of the Ultra Music Festival in Miami, which draws some of the biggest names in EDM and thousands of revellers, will reportedly be postponed over fears of spreading coronavirus.
An official announcement is expected early Friday, according to the Miami Herald. It reported that the event could be postponed until next year.
The line-up for this year’s festival, set to run March 20 to 22, included Zedd, Major Lazer, Flume, Sofi Tukker, Armin Van Buuren, David Guetta, Kygo and Martin Garrix.
The news comes as organizers announced the cancellation of the Tomorrowland Winter, an EDM festival that was set to run March 14 to 21 in Alpe d’Huez, France.
“The French Government is taking drastic measures regarding the COVID-19 virus in France. Therefore they are enforcing the cancellation of large events, bringing together people from different nationalities on closed festival grounds and event locations,” read a statement.
