Usher is bringing the past, present and future to the big screen this fall.
After last year's box office success of concert films by Taylor Swift and Beyoncé, the R&B superstar is getting in on the trend with Usher: Rendezvous In Paris, a feature length film that was shot during his eight-concert residency in Paris at La Seine Musicale last year.
Directed by Grammy nominee Anthony Mandler, the film will open in cinemas on September 12 and run until the 15th, courtesy of AMC Theatres Distribution, Trafalgar Releasing and Sony Music Vision.
“Paris was a special experience for me as an entertainer and for my fans,” Usher shared in a statement. “I hope those who weren’t able to make it in person get to experience how special it was. As for those of you who were, I hope you experience the show and see what it takes to get there through a different lens.”
Set to hit 2,000 screens across the globe, tickets will go on sale August 6 at UsherinParis.com.
Before the film opens, Usher will be kicking off his Past Present Future Tour in Atlanta, GA on August 14, making his way up to Canada for back-to-back shows at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, ON on September 2 and 3, with two more shows in Vancouver, BC on November 7 and 8.
