Vanilla Ice tried to stay chill Wednesday after a plane he was on was quarantined upon arrival at New York’s JFK airport.
“So I just landed in New York coming back from Dubai,” the throwback rapper tweeted, “and now I’m stuck on the runway with like 1000 police, ambulances, fire trucks, this is crazy.
“This is crazy. Apparently there is over 100 people sick on the bottom floor, so happy I’m up top, it’s a double-decker plane 380.”
Emergency crews waited for Emirates flight 203 after receiving a report that a number of passengers had fallen ill. According to the airline, “about 10 passengers” were taken to hospital.
CNN reported that health officials believe influenza was the cause.
Ice told The Blast: “During the flight there was a situation, they told us we would be in the middle of the runway after a 15-hour flight. They said there are some passengers that are ill so we are going to go out on the runway and hang out.
“They sealed off the two floors and eventually removed first class at a separate entrance.”
