Some feet weren’t meant to moonwalk.

With the Michael Jackson biopic, Michael, cruising its way to a $1 billion box office take, the late King of Pop is all of a sudden everywhere again.

Fans of MJ have begun flooding social media with their best dance tribute videos, however, one in particular seems to be going viral for all the wrong reasons.

According to The Daily Mail, a robot attempted to put on an MJ-inspired performance during an event hosted by Future Era robot store in Shenzhen, China. In front of an audience, the robot came strutting out to Jackson’s “Billie Jean,” attempting to pull off the iconic dance moves and show just what a robot can do in this day and age.

While it began with some swagger, the robot quickly stumbled once it met with some ill-placed stairs. Able to maintain its balance, the little guy did successfully pull off a moonwalk. Where it went wrong was in heading back towards the stairs, where it once again lost its balance, and unfortunately met its demise. Like, literally died on the spot.

The clumsy lifeless robot was then collected by its human handler and humiliatingly dragged away.

Naturally, the internet has lost its mind over this epic fail video, with many commenters noting how a simple set of stairs was all it took to defeat one of humanity’s greatest future threats.

We should really just leave the dancing to actual human beings. Like j-hope of BTS, who knows a thing or two about dancing like MJ.
