Alice Cooper on Friday debuted “Don’t Give Up,” a timely track produced remotely by Canada’s Bob Ezrin.

“It’s a song about what we’ve all been going through right now and about keeping our heads up and fighting back together,” Cooper said, in a release. “And whatever you do – Don’t Give Up!”

The song comes with a video made up of some of the 20,000 submissions he received after inviting fans to share a photo or video of themselves holding a sign with a word from the lyrics.

“Yeah, I know you’re struggling right now / We all are in different ways,” the 72-year-old rocker sings. “We’re all hanging on by a thread / We’re all staring at the razor’s edge / But we’re not going to step off the ledge.”
