Alice In Chains recently released a video for "The One You Know," a new track from the band's forthcoming album.
"The One You Know" is very much in the vein of Alice In Chain's work since the band's 2009 comeback album Black Gives Way to Blue. The song is swampy and dark with melancholic harmonies and a persistent, crawling back beat — everything fans loves about the band.
"It’s got our fingerprint," Jerry Cantrell told Guitar World last month. "And we’re really proud of the material that we wrote and the performances we captured. There’s some really heavy s**t, some really ugly stuff, some real beautiful stuff, some weirdo trippy s**t… It’s good!”
The album, whose title has yet to be announced, is expected to be released while Alice in Chains is on tour between now and late-September. (The band plays Vancouver's Queen Elizabeth Theatre on Aug 22.)
"It's not that we were keeping it a secret — we just didn't want to say a whole lot about [the album] until we had something to say," explained Cantrell.
The new album will be Alice In Chains' third with William DuVall on lead vocals.
