Following his Top 10 radio hit "Dancing Kizomba," Alx Veliz is back with a brand new single "U+Me" -- both tracks are featured on his EP Love Has No Language which was released earlier this year.
Alx unveiled the official "U+Me" music video Friday, and it's a powerful visual reflective of what's going on in the world today.
In the music video for "U+Me," we see Alx singing his song in front of a crowd of protesters holding signs with written messages like "love wins," among others. On the other side of them are a line of riot police dressed in full riot gear. The visual was directed by well-known Canadian music video director Aaron A, who has directed music videos for artists like Alessia Cara and Nelly Furtado.
On his Facebook page, Alx said of the song: "It tells the story that every couple goes through. We fight for love and hold on to the little bit of love left before it runs out. And in retrospect it also tells the story of us as a people fighting for justice and love before it's too late. 'I believe in us, I believe in love, I BELIEVE IN YOU.'"
