Montreal’s Arcade Fire unveiled on Thursday a short film that combines their songs “Put Your Money On Me” and “We Don’t Deserve Love.”
Directed by David Wilson, Money + Love features the band members as well as actress Toni Collette. Part of the video was filmed inside the Montreal casino.
The 16-minute video shows the band signing a contract that gives 98.3 per cent of future earning to the Everything Now corporation. They later attempt to take the money and escape.
Both tracks used in the video are from the 2017 album Everything Now.
Arcade Fire will perform this weekend on Saturday Night Live. It will be the band’s fourth time as musical guest – they were on SNLin 2007, 2010, and 2013. (In 2012, the band backed Mick Jagger on the show.)
Arcade Fire is the first Canadian musical act on SNL this season.
