Ex-boyfriend Mac Miller was definitely on Ariana Grande's mind Wednesday night as her Sweetener World Tour made a stop in the late rapper's hometown.
Grande was moved to tears at least twice during the concert in Pittsburgh.
The singer was emotional as she began "Thank U, Next" and choked up when she came to the line: “Wish I could say thank you to Malcolm / ‘Cause he was an angel.”
Fans showed their support by singing the words for Grande.
Earlier in the show, Grande teared up while singing “Raindrops (An Angel Cried),” which is rumoured to be about her relationship with Miller.
Miller died last September of an accidental drug overdose. He and Grande dated from 2016 to early 2018.
Grande has been honouring Miller during her tour by playing his music in the venues before her shows.
